Hornsea has a contemporary coastal promenade and boat complex which is within a 15 minute walk of the bungalow.

The Mere is only 10 minutes away, which is the largest fresh water lake in the North of England with sailing boats and lots of wildlife, it also has a footpath going all the way round the lake which is approximately 3 miles long and is really only suitable for walkers.

Hornsea caters for the keen sportsmen and women with an indoor leisure pool and fitness centre, a golf course, indoor & outdoor bowling, a large natural park with children’s play area and skate park.

The famous Hornsea Freeport Shopping Centre is only 5 minutes away.

Hull, Beverley and Bridlington are only half an hour away, and Scarborough, Filey, York and the Yorkshire Wolds and Lincoln only an hour away by car.

The tourist information office is in the town centre and is very useful for information on local attractions, transport and anything you might need to know about Hornsea.

It is sited on the banks of the largest inland natural water in Yorkshire.
